Metro Nashville Animal Shelter is full and waives pet adoption fees

Metro Animal Care and Control waives adoption fees for people wishing to adopt a dog or cat.

The facility revealed it has reached full capacity and currently houses more than 60 dogs. Fees will be waived for complaints and adoptions until Sunday.

Adoption counselors are available to speak to potential pet owners between noon and 4 p.m.

Animals offered for adoption are sterilized or sterilized, microchipped and started with initial vaccinations. Many of the establishment’s dogs are considered stray or lost. Photos are taken and uploaded to PHShelter.com and posted under the “I lost a pet” tab.

Royal is available for adoption from Metro Animal Care and Control.

Recovery services are offered during business hours and fees are currently waived to give owners the option of bringing their lost pets home. Anyone wishing to collect their pet must bring proof of ownership to show the shelter.

Information on how to raise a pet

Metro Animal Care and Control is asking people to consider opening their homes to accommodate a pet. The animals will live in the house until the animal is adopted.

The property will provide all food and equipment when accommodating a pet. Foster family coordinators are available to educate and support foster parents. Foster family pets can create space in shelters for emergency care.
